nurun Receives Three IAC Awards
2006-04-03National Web Marketing Association Recognizes nurun for Its Travel and Retail Capabilities
ATLANTA, April 3, 2006 - nurun, a global interactive marketing agency, has received three Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards in 2006: Best Travel Integrated Ad Campaign, Best Retail E-mail Message Campaign, and Outstanding Microsite/Landing Page. The awards are given by the National Web Marketing Association and acknowledge excellence in online advertising and Internet marketing.
The categories and details about each campaign are as follows:
1. Best Travel Integrated Ad Campaign: Vail Big Snow Campaign. This campaign consisted of a series of three e-mails and three corresponding landing pages designed to inform and excite skiers and snowboarders about the great snow conditions at the various Vail resorts. Sent on a timely basis, the e-mail campaign comprised a pre-snow e-mail, an "it's snowing" e-mail and a post snow "great conditions" e-mail. The landing pages had actual shots of the "big snow" at the resorts and an updatable "Snow Meter" that showed the snowfall at each resort. And to get the word out about Vail and the campaign, there was also a series of Flash banner ads to support this message.
2. Best Retail E-mail Message Campaign: Home Depot Canada. This campaign was created in order to establish communication with several types of customers, including: the deal seekers, the home perfectionists, and the "do-it-yourselfers." The e-mail message campaign effectively communicated with each type of audience and established loyalty with the company. nurun developed a "welcome" e-mail as an Inbox "mini-movie" in order to educate new subscribers about Home Depot Canada's offerings. In order for recipients to easily access the Home Depot Canada Web site, nurun's creative team incorporated an entire microsite that "lived" within this e-mail.
3. Outstanding Microsite/Landing Page: It's a Wonderful Internet. An interactive "pop-up" book complete with a storyline reminiscent of "It's a Wonderful Life" with the rhythm of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," this interactive holiday card went around the globe through postings only in fewer than two weeks, received more than 450,000 unique visits, and secured an average visit time of seven minutes.
IAC Award entries were scored on seven criteria: creativity, innovation, design, copywriting, use of medium, memorability, and impact.
