Suzanne Sauvage
Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer
Suzanne Sauvage was appointed in December 2007 Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer of Nurun Inc. Ms Sauvage primary responsibilities will be to work with the executive team and Nurun?s regional presidents to implement its corporate vision, spearhead its global offering and oversee a communications strategy that will increase the company?s international visibility.
Suzanne Sauvage has worked in the field of marketing and corporate communications, nationally and internationally for over twenty years. She has developed and implemented numerous national and international communication campaigns and counselled North-American and European corporations as well as governments on various marketing and communication issues.
Before joining Nurun, she was President, Canada, of Cossette Communication Group, the largest communication agency in Canada. She joined Cossette in 1997 as Senior Vice President, National Client Leader responsible for the Bell Canada account, the largest advertiser in Canada. She led the development of all Bell media-neutral campaigns involving a team of experts in traditional advertising, interactive marketing, direct marketing and public relations across Canada. In 2002, she was named President of Cossette Montreal and was promoted President of Cossette Canada in 2005.While at Cossette, she was involved in the development of campaigns for large global and national brands such as Home Depot, General Motors, McDonald?s, Molson and Bank of Montreal.
Prior to that, Suzanne Sauvage spent 15 years with Burson-Marsteller, a large international public relations network, starting in 1982 when it opened its Montreal office. She became Vice President and General Manager in 1984. In 1988, she was transferred to Paris to become President of Burson-Marsteller France. In 1996, she was named Executive Vice President Europe in charge of the European marketing communication practice.
Ms Sauvage was also Director of communications of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and Managing Director of the Visual Arts Center, a visual art school and gallery in Montreal.
She began her career in Niger (Africa) where she spent a year working for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Subsequently she worked as a consultant for the Agence de cooperation culturelle et technique in Paris.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Montreal, she completed a year of graduate studies in Spanish literature at the University of Madrid before attending the School of Interpreters of the University of Geneva.
Closely involved in her community, Ms Sauvage serves on the board of several non-profit art and philanthropic organizations including the National Ballet of Canada, the Orchestre Métropolitain du Grand Montréal, the Centre international d?art contemporain and the O Vertigo Dance Company.
