Powerful new site provides users with information-rich content, avenue for transparent, energy-related dialogue

PARIS, le 15 février 2010 -- Nurun (www.nurun.com), a global interactive marketing agency, together with Areva, today announce Areva.com. The announcement comes nearly 18 months after the two organizations began working together, and has resulted in a dynamic new Web site which combines Areva’s four business units into a single interactive and educational portal. Headquartered in Paris, Areva is an international nuclear energy company that offers technological solutions for CO₂-free energy. Nurun’s team in Paris worked with Areva to develop its new digital strategy, usability, graphic design, and technical development.

“The new Areva.com represents the organization’s entrance into a new phase of its digital communication strategy – unprecedented by a business to business company in the energy sector,” said William Rotrou, deputy managing director of Nurun. “The new site goes beyond the scope of a Web interface to include AREVA’s content strategy and long-term contacts – in addition to encouraging the general public and its partners to understand, discuss and address energy issues.

Through bilingual (French and English) content, the Areva site educates visitors about company and nuclear power-related issues. RSS feeds are for users seeking customized responses to their questions. A pioneer with the launch of its Web-based discussion platform in 2002, the new Areva.com site has a dedicated area where users can discuss any issue with a community of experts.

“The result is a fully open media tool that provides ongoing dialogue between AREVA’s internal and external audiences,” Rotrou added. This dialogue includes 24/7 intuitive access to rich content including videos, slide shows, audio files, animations, as well as Web-based, open dialogue functionality.

“Transparency and dialogue are the cornerstones of our communications policy,” said Florent Vial, project manager at Areva. “In line with our commitment to continuous improvement, we constantly strive to go further and explore new ways of improving that transparent dialogue with the public.”
